Prefer to run Seoul alone?

You do not need a guide to have a good run here. You need a route that works, a way to stay on it, and the practical things generic maps leave out.

The free Run With Me Seoul app puts more than 60 curated Seoul routes on an offline map, with turn-by-turn following and water, toilet and convenience-store locations. It also scores the day’s running conditions from heat, humidity, air quality, wind and dew point.

The routes are built from 11,638 real Seoul runs and checked before they appear. It launches on iOS and Android in early September 2026.

Other ways to run in Seoul

  • A group of runners pausing at a traditional market during a run in Seoul.

    Join a local run club

Seoul Flyerscurrently describes its runs as free and open to anyone. A club is the better choice when you want company rather than a private sightseeing experience, and your schedule matches the group’s.

  • A selfie in the crowd at the start line of the Seoul Marathon.

    Enter a race

When your trip falls on a race weekend, an organized race gives you a marked route, aid stations and a few thousand people to run with. Check the Korea race calendar before building an itinerary around one; registration often closes well before race day.

  • A runner on the granite ridge of Inwangsan beside the Seoul City Wall.

    Run the trails

Seoul’s mountains are close enough to make trail running part of the city experience, but the navigation, surface, elevation and trailhead logistics are different from a riverside run. Start with the guide to running in Seoul and pick a route that matches your experience.

Questions

What is the best alternative to Go! Running Tours in Seoul?

Yes. Go! Running Tours, Run With Me Seoul and RunCop Lab all publish private formats, and Han Stride lists both join-in and private groups. Check the current booking page, because guide and date availability change.

Which Seoul running tour can take a larger group?
